We need your help to find our beloved family pet, Pixie.
She is a four year old, grizzle and tan colour Border Terrier bitch.
She went missing from our home, at the A30 end of Snows Ride in Windlesham, Surrey on the morning of Tuesday 26th June 2012.
She is spayed, microchipped, wearing a collar. She's a real people lover.
She has been missing for over a week and although we have had a huge amount of support from friends and strangers alike, there has not been one sighting of her.
There is a £500 reward for her safe return.
Whatever has happened to her, we want to know.

There was, very belatedly, a reported sighting of Pixie trotting down Hatton Hill alone on the day she went missing. It was a deliery driver who is not in the area daily, but spotted the signs in the petrol station.
ReplyDeleteSo the only reported sightings of her, alone, and then possibly with a man on the A322 with two lurchers, who noticed because the little dog looked "reluctant" were both on the day she got out.
Nothing since to date.
Thanks to all the people who called in the hope that the sign in Sunningdale for a terrier found might have been Pixie. It was not, but we really appreciate the effort, and it showed that people were seeing the posters and flyers and keeping a look out.
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks to the lady who thought she may have seen Pixie being walked in Frimley Lodge Park. We did check it out, and found the dog, which had very similar markings to Pixie, being walked at the same time in the same area the following afternoon. Sadly not her, but certainly worth the call. Much appreciated.
ReplyDeleteA little dog possibly similar to Pixie was seen on Monday or Tuesday morning last week, alone, near Smiths Lawn polo fields in Windsor Great Park. Caller has offered to put sign up in post office in the park.
ReplyDeleteDamn, other dog, Scout, bitten by an adder up on common while hunting for Pixie. Now being looked after by the very capable Pete at Windlesham vets on School Road. Anti venom and steroid drip. Poor boy. And of course happened right at the far side of the common, so have carried Scout (border collie cross) a long way!
ReplyDeleteWe had covered a lot of ground before it happened and no sign. There are posters up at both car parks and everyone we spoke to was aware Pixie is missing. Have let Chobham Rangers know of possible sighting- there are many border terriers walked up there regularly, so it could easily have been one of them. If there is still a little dog running around solo I would expect to get some more calls as the day goes on.
WOW!!! Jamie is home. See Pixie's lost pals - he'd been missing since March. Hooray for microchips!!!
ReplyDeleteOops sorry, he's a westie!
ReplyDeleteStill hoping to find Pixie, but I rather doubt it will be a matter of coming across her locally. I suspect she may no longer be in the area. So spreading the word and picture is crucial. Thank dog she is microchipped! But that will only prove its worth once somebody takes her to a place she can be scanned......

Just wanted to share my favourite poem, that reminds me that occasionally things really do work out OK
ReplyDeleteSometimes
Sometimes things don't go, after all,
from bad to worse. Some years, muscadel
faces down frost; green thrives; the crops don't fail,
sometimes a man aims high, and all goes well.
A people sometimes step back from war;
elect an honest man; decide they care
enough, that they can't leave some stranger poor.
Some men become what they were born for.
Sometimes our best efforts do not go
amiss; sometimes we do as we meant to.
The sun will sometimes melt a field of sorrow
that seemed hard frozen: may it happen to you
